Photos from Dim Mak Tuesdays featuring Etienne De Crecy and Congorock

Posted on 30 July 2009 by shaunt

It had been over a month since I’d last been to Dim Mak Tuesdays at Cinespace, and last night did not disappoint.

This week’s selling point was none other than the Parisian cube-maestro himself–in the flesh, Etienne De Crecy. Unfortunately though, I was too jetlagged to stick around for his DJ set, but I did get a chance to catch Congrorock’s energized electo set. The crowd was pumped, as usual. Click one of the photos above for the set, or check out the album on our flickr.

Taken July 28th, 2009 at Dim Mak Tuesdays at Cinespace in Hollywood, CA.

It was quite a busy day. Here are some photos we snapped at the shooting of The Crystal Method’s music video for their new single  Here’s an summary of the shoot, to be used in next week’s issue of CampusCircle Newspaper.

On Tuesday, electronic musicians The Crystal Method shot the video for their upcoming single “Come Back Clean” at a studio in Hollywood.  The video features Ken Jordan and Scott Kirkland of The Crystal Method as NYC cab drivers, and depicts scenes of the nightly madness they see in their cabs.

Following this, I managed to catch a screening of a movie called Dear Lemon Lima at Cinema Tuesdays, sponsored by Nike Sportswear at The Montalbán. Photos are to be included in the same set. Click it.

Coachella Line-Up Additions

Posted on 09 March 2009 by shaunt

We’re excited to announce that Etienne de Crecy’s “cube” setup has been added to the Coachella line-up (as we had predicted a couple months back). Also added is a Chemical Brothers DJ Set, as well as performances from The Orb, Flying Lotus, Daedalus, The Professionals and Devendra Banhart. The most prominent dropped act from the line-up is Amy Winehouse, who was recently denied a visa to the US.

We’re quite excited for these additions. More updates to follow…

Update 3/11: We can now confirm that Busy P and the Plump DJs have also been added to the lineup.

Daft Punk Brought the Pyramid; Meet the Cube

Posted on 23 September 2008 by shaunt

French house producer Etienne de Crecy has borrowed the concept of the Daft Punk pyramid and introduced a cube-based live setup for his 2008 tour. The geometric figure is on tour and may arrive at a festival near you. There are no dates announced in the US or the UK quite yet, but if you happen to be in Paris you can catch Etienne de Crecy at the Social Club October 25th.
