Around Coachella time, we find ourselves searching for the most bangin’ parties. In the previous years, FILTER Magazine, Anthem Magazine, MLF, Vice, Ace Hotel, and many others hosted some of the wildest parties.

It’s a special year for FILTER Magazine as they celebrate the publication’s 10 years of operation. FILTER is hosting their 10th Annual Coachella Kick Off Party, held at the Corona Yacht Club in Coachella. The line up that is currently announced features DJs like Dam-Funk, Theophilus London, Active Child, and Fat Lip. Fliers and more info coming soon.

We’re finally back in action once again, getting ready for an Ed Bangin’ show.

Check out Control at Avalon Friday September 9, 2011 to spectate one of the dirtiest, heaviest producers on Ed Rec, SebastiAn! From his debut, live show he performed at the 2009 Sonar Festival in Barcelona, SebastiAn is back on the road, travelling all over the globe on his “Primary Tour”. Even though Coachella sold out early this year, there’s still a reason to head out to the desert this weekend. The parties, once a supplement to the Coachella experience, have now become a comparable (if not better) alternative to the festival. This year over a dozen parties have been announced in the desert, many of which are free and have special performances from artists with time slots at the festival. As we did last year, here’s a list we’ve compiled of Coachella 2011 parties. Here we go:

This 3 day music festival will take place at 3 locations (see below for more info). On Sept. 30, French label “Record Makers” will celebrate their 10th anniversary at the El Ray Theater for the first event. Check out their artists like the 21st Century, Gainsbourg-esque, French Pop singer Sébastien Tellier to the knight-riding, Testarossa-speeding, electronic producer Kavinsky! On Oct. 1 , the show will take place at Spaceland in Silverlake featuring The Bewitched Hands and Revolver. Oct. 2 will take place at Club Nokia as Parisian nu-jazz, trip-hop group Gotan Project closes the event, along with General Elektriks and El Hijo de la Cumbia.
