One artist that has been around in producing music is Mr. Oizo, signed under Ed Banger Records. His music has always had a distinct style, using plenty of dirty-sounding beats, unusual synths, and voice samples that you would hear on an instructional video. But all together, he makes music that is way ahead of his time, and way out of this world.
Oizo’s album M-Seq album was released on the label F Communications back in 1998, prior to being signed to Ed Rec. His more popular album Analog Worms Attack followed shortly afterwards on the label, carrying his hit track Flat Beat. Both albums sound fairly similar, because of the synths and beats he samples in his tracks.
Mehdi, and his partner Kourtrajmé produced Des Friandises Pour Ta Bouche(which translates to Delicacies For Your Mouth). With a hip-hop/rap background, the track “Le Cirque” from 2005 samples an accapella version of “Nasty Boy”, by Notorious B.I.G.
At last, we’ve gotten our hands on the most sought-after remix in the scene. A few weeks ago we had posted a live bootleg of the track. Well, the proper version of the Soulwax remix of MGMT – Kids is below for your listening pleasure. Was it worth the wait? The web community seems to be split — some think it’s god-sent, while others think it’s the most overhyped track of 08. We’re still not sure. Maybe after we hear it loud?…
Justice has done a new fifteen minute mix for the Dior Homme fashion show in Paris, just like Daft Punk did last summer for Louis Vuitton. On the 29th of June Justice dropped the brand new track to accompany the runway. The track features heavy synths and bass-lines, harpsichord progressions, and elements of Justice tracks that we all love.
The mix was revealed as a brand new composition by the duo exclusively for the show, and there was no evidence to support a record release of the mix. The track did inevitably leak to the web as a low quality bootleg copy, ripped directly from the video. Today, however, the original clean recording of the track leaked to the web, resurfacing as Planisphere.
We have a copy of the track here for your listening pleasure. Enjoy.
Kitsuné release season compilation returns, the sixth of its kind and still homemade and gold wrapped. There’s more to get excited about on Kitsuné’s sieve, lots of new treasures to find in the river. Quite a lot of as yet unchartered avenues and hot new acts that will probably get raved about in no time. A true gold issue with as ever enough fresh material to impress the blasé-est of blasés.
There’s not just one Kitsuné sound but plenty. Extreme twisted sonorities that will make you jump up and down uncontrollably, enough to electrocute a dancefloor or two. Kitsuné keeps on working for you, manically preparing ground, broadening its musical network without frontiers and outside churches. On board this time there are young girls, sea dogs, Californian twins, young wolves and loonies. A wonderful mess, a spontaneous shamble that screams out loud.

The Proxy, an artist signed under Turbo Records, recently released a new track called, Raven. His distinct style in electronic music is likely to give this new track a “two-thumbs-up”. Click below for the download.
The Bloody Beetroots, signed under Dim Mak Records, have a new track coming out called T*A*P*E* which pays homage to analog recording and playback equipment. The track is quite different from their other uptempo italo-house material, and is instead rather mellow and beat-oriented.
I came across this axe body spray commercial the other day. I didn’t think much of it until i realized that it plays Busy P’s Rainbow Man in the background. It’s yet another commercial where plenty of hot chicks bombard a guy because of the axe fragrance coming off him. Interestingly enough, they add a twist of chocolate to the occasion. The Chocolate Man commercial video is below for your viewing pleasure…
