Moritz Friedrich, signed under Boys Noize Records as Siriusmo, is a music producer from Berlin who makes music that sound quite different amongst most producers.

Throughout his years, he has been producing plenty of material, but never decides to categorize himself in the whole “club scene”. His music consists of arpeggios, which gives his music its own distinct style. In his Diskoding EP, there are songs like Mein Neues Fahrrad, which was remixed by Boys Noize himself, who has been using it in his recent sets. Schreitmaschine, another song off his EP, gives the song that “funky” vibe, from the slap bass to the electronic progressions. Big names like Busy P, Feadz, Erol Alkan, and Modeselektor, are all big supporters of Siriusmo.

This year the LA Detour Festival 2008 will take place on October 4th. It will feature over 25 acts on 4 outdoor stages, plus vendors and art installations, spread across 6 city blocks around City Hall. Confirmed bands include genre-bending proggies The Mars Volta and irrepressible Gypsy-punk collective Gogol Bordello. Take the Metro (there’s a stop just steps away); stroll the streets, drink-in-hand; and celebrate our own world-class music festival.

Justice has done a new fifteen minute mix for the Dior Homme fashion show in Paris, just like Daft Punk did last summer for Louis Vuitton. On the 29th of June Justice dropped the brand new track to accompany the runway. The track features heavy synths and bass-lines, harpsichord progressions, and elements of Justice tracks that we all love.

“I’ve put together a 80 minute mix of some disco vibes which are lighting up my stratosphere. I began mixing it up just for my own selfish iPod needs during a day off I had at christmas and only recently got round to finishing due to album commitments. Most of the tracks are re-edited in some form or over, and i splashed some moody synth drizzle over some of the beats. I got another hour of this mix sitting about, dunno, i maybe save it for another edition. would love to play club sets more like this, who knows, maybe i will… anyone wanna do a party?”.
